A monorail project of grand scale has been planned in the city of Kolkata. The commuters need to travel very fast from one place to the other and a rapid urban transportation system is very necessary in the city. A monorail project of large scale will certainly scale down the problem in the city.

A number of important points were discussed in the meeting. The total investment for the project stands at 2,500-3,000 crores and the Sarda group will act as the associate. The entire logistical support required for the project will be provided by the Sarda group. The youth of the state are keenly looking forward to it and wants the project to shape up from a very early hour.
