Ghanshyam Sarda plays a key role in Shiv Hari musical show

Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and Shri Hariprasad Chaurasia are two marvelous trendsetters of Hindusthani classical music.  Recently a grand musical extravaganza was organized on the famous shores of the Princep ghat in Kolkata, where these two musical geniuses entertained the audience.
The evening started with a huge gathering of 2,800 spectatators who waited with great enthusiasm for the performance to begin. It is not often that the audience gets the opportunity to attend a musical confluence played by the talismans.

The evening commenced in a grand note where famous Tollywood actor and compere Arjun Chakraborty introduced the two musical maestros to the audience.  A standing ovation was provided by the audience as a welcome sign.  The set was stage for a sterling performance ahead which simply enthralled the audience.   Famous industrialist from Kolkata, Ghanshyam Sarda formed a part of the audience.

A slow and mellifluous Yaman raga was started by the duo which made the ambiance of the evening quite serene. This yaman raga gradually turned into a very rhythmic jod. Pakhwaj player Pandit Bhawani Shankar also played melodious beats to entertain the audience.

  A vilambit bandish on rupak taal and drut bandish on teen taal was played by the duo. The magical musical renditions simply enthralled the audience as they reacted in splendor. The musical harmony of Shiv and Hari captivated the charm of the audience.

 The Yaman bandishes simply made them feel elated as they appreciated the beats in wonder.  The duo was also very well supported by Pandit Subhankar Banerjee on the tabla and Japanese tanpura player Takahiro Arai. The evening came to a wonderful conclusion with a melodious dhun of raag pahari.

Ghanshyam Sarda backs supports clean city drive initiative

The city of Kolkata is all geared up for a clean city drive. With the level of environmental pollution going  up in and around the city, it is just time to welcome a garbage free ambience.  With the initiative of the Lions Club International project, the campaign for the clean city drive has begun  in an active way. With a collection of 2,500 members from different parts of the city, it has already started the procedure and 60 renowned clubs are also a part of it. The campaign aims to spread itself at different wards of the city.

Ghanshyam Sarda is one of the top class and influential business leaders from the city of Kolkata. Over the years, he has established a great business credential with a variety of investments. With a diversified interest in some of the most important commercial ventures like jute, education, petrochemicals and information technology he has lead the decade old Sarda group with example.  As one of the pioneer business leaders from the city he is a keen supporter of the clean city drive campaign.

In the city of Kolkata itself, more than 5,732 tonnes of waste is produced at a regular basis.  This waste needs to be dumped somewhere and the clean city drive campaign has been organized to reduce the  difficulty of pollution in  the city. As per a recent study which has been conducted by the South Asian Forum For Environment, among the total waste which is generated only 700 tonnes is recycled. The rest of the waste goes to the dumping station at Dhapa.
