The city of Kolkata is gearing up for a cleaning spree. As one of the topmost metropolitan cities in India, it always needs to maintain certain environmental standards. The Clean City Dream City campaign initiated by the Lions Club International Project is all set to enhance the image of the city to a new level altogether.  With a collection of 60 clubs, the Lions Club International has prospered as one of the largest networks in Kolkata with 2,500 members.  In the city of Kolkata itself more than 5,732 tonnes of waste is produced at a regular basis. This particular waste needs to be dumped at the earliest.

The campaign has already begun in the city of Kolkata.
