Mr. Sarda recently condemned the brutal killing of the CEO of the Northbrook Jute Mill in Bhadreshwar. In a statement issued, he made it clear that the mandatory jute packaging order was not implemented in the intended way. Mr. Sarda also did not hide his disappointment over the ineffectiveness of both the Central and State government in handling the situation in the right manner. According to him, it is primarily due to the lack of initiative on the part of the concerned government authorities that the jute industry is suffering.
