A monorail project of grand scale
is coming up in the city of Kolkata. The
city of Kolkata has faced a variety of transportation woes recently. The
commuters have faced a real problem in traveling from one place to the
other. The city has also faced a number
of strikes recently where private buses, taxis and autos have been off the
roads. With the recent initiative of the chief minister of West Bengal, a
monorail project has been planned in the city.
A very recent business summit was
organized in the country of Singapore. Several business leaders from different
parts of the world participated in the summit. In the summit which was
organized in the country of Singapore, Scomi Engineering one of the leaders
from the monorail engineering market participated. Based in the country of
Malaysia, the company has successfully
completed monorail projects in some of the cities like Kualalampur, Mumbai
and Sao Paolo. The proposed monorail
project in the City of Joy will attract an investment of 2,500 crores.
Ghanshyam Sarda is one of the prolific business leaders from the
city of Kolkata. He has invested in several jute mill projects over the years.
Considered as a pioneer in the jute industry, he has successfully established a
very good credential. In the business
summit which was held in the country of Singapore, the officials of the Sarda
group met with the representatives from Scomi Engineering.
It was a very fruitful discussion
and both the parties agreed to play a joint part in the project. The Ghanshyam Sarda Kolkata group has
agreed to be the logistical partner for this grand project. The project will
provide a grand opportunity for the youth of the state who are looking for
employment.
