Views of Ghanshyam Sarda on the recent signing of the MoU

Mr. Sarda is not only an iconic figure in the industrial sector, but maintains his influence in the entertainment industry too. He played a domineering role in establishing the Sarda Group of Industries. Presently, under this group there are as many as eight jute mills that produce nearly 500 tons of jute products on a daily basis.

Additional Employment

Recently, the Sarda group went ahead with its plan of signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the two leading IT firms including; Compass Energy Pte Ltd. and Singapore and Axsys Technologies Ltd. The motive behind signing the MoU was to foster collaboration on solutions pertaining to oil/gas exploration and ship building. As a result of the duo of both the companies, additional employment for two hundred persons within the Sector V region is expected to get generated. Ghanshyam Sarda further made it clear that additional employment for 500-600 persons is likely to be created.

Signing of MoU

The business tycoon considered the visit of Mamata Banerjee to Singapore as truly fruitful. The reason behind the tour being considered as productive is because MoU was signed in different target areas that included; training, IT, food processing, entertainment and home furnishing. One of the other big positives to have come out of the tour of Mamata Banerjee to Singapore is that the monorail operator in Sao Paulo has announced to make a significant footprint in the City of Joy-Kolkata. Mr. Sarda, instrumental in setting up of the Ghanshyam Sarda Kolkata trust, has also been deliberating on the thought of implementing strategies so as to form the Pan-India Presence. This was primarily done so as to maintain its presence in the jute goods manufacturing unit. Rightly, Sarda Group is looked upon as one among the biggest employers in West Bengal.
