Ghanshyam Sarda Provides Impetus to A Clean Kolkata

Kolkata for quite some time has become a polluted city. The smoke that emits from the vehicles contributes greatly to increase the pollution levels.  Garbage and open vats too plays its part to add to this condition.

Vats can be the thriving ground for many diseases too.  It is only through the right awareness of the people that Kolkata can actually become a greener place.  Idea of a vat free city has been already nurtured by the government of West Bengal.

Recently Lions Club International, a reputed club of the city has taken up initiatives for a clean city along with the Sarda Group. The club has more than 2,500 members. They are extremely enthusiastic about the various social activities. The managers of the campaign are enthusiastic to make this dream project a reality. The campaign will be of two phases.

In the initial phase each ward will have garbage dumping stations. As per a research conducted by SAFE it has been found out that only Kolkata receives 5732 tonnes of waste on a daily basis.

The second phase will be mainly about making the citizens aware how to dispose waste efficiently. This will also help to keep the city clean and green. Proper awareness is not there among people. They fail to understand often what problems dirt and pollutants can create.

Ghanshyam Sarda is a prominent businessman who owns the Sarda Group has promoted this campaign greatly. As digital media is extremely effective for promotion, initiatives of a clean city have been initiated through many social media sites.

This clean city campaign is a dream project which if realised will make Kolkata truly the city of joy. The city will get a cleaner image too. Ghanshyam Sarda Kolkata group has been active in such social activities.
