The city of Kolkata certainly requires a transportation drive. With the current chief minister of West Bengal taking a variety of initiatives to take the state forward, new industrialisation plans have been drawn up.
The state is looking forward to some of the best initiatives in this regard and a monorail project has been planned in the Rajarhat area of the city. The Rajarhat Area acts as one of the prime industrial zones of the city and has already undergone a considerable amount of commercialisation. The monorail project coming up in the area will provide it with the required impetus.

The scope of coming up with a monorail project of the highest order was discussed in the meeting and a proper plan has been drawn up. Scomi Engineering is one of the leading names from the global monorail sector and has already completed important projects in some of the cities like Kualalampur, Sao Paolo and Mumbai.
A widespread discussion happened between the officials of Sarda group and Scomi Engineering and a major investment has been drawn up for the same. The project will take the state a long way in making its name count in the industrial map of the world.
