The transportation system in and
around the city of Kolkata is all set to improve. With the grand inception
of a monorail project in the city, the commuters will certainly have an easy
time reaching their offices. Off late, a
variety of transportation related problems have dogged the city. Several bus
and taxi strikes have hampered the normal life of the commuters in the city. A
rapid urban transportation system like the monorail is required which helps the
passengers to save time and travel faster.
With the current initiative of
the chief minister of West Bengal, the roadmap for the monorail project has
been drawn up. Ghanshyam Sarda is one of the most

The monorail project will be a new venture for

regarding investment in the state of West Bengal have been discussed. The total
estimated investment for the monorail project stands at Rs.2.500 crores. The
government of West Bengal wants the project to be a success. The Sarda group
will act as the local partner and new employment opportunities generated for
the youth of the state.
