Industrialist Ghanshyam Sarda, one of the pioneers from the commercial sector of West Bengal is quite worried about the current state of the jute industry. The present condition of the jute sector in India and West Bengal is not good at all and some immediate measures needs to be taken. As one of the top entities from the jute industry, the Sarda group wants to stand by it.
The jute sector in West Bengal and India is going through a massive turmoil and the recent murder of the CEO at the Northbrook jute mill acts as a great example. The murder at the Northbrook jute mill was caused by anti socials and that is evident from the fact that a huge gathering occurred within the premises. A huge ruckus was created and consequently the CEO at the Northbrook jute mill lost his life. Jute baron Ghanshyam Sarda has protested the incident vehemently.
The rise in the number of unions has also created quite a havoc in the industry. There has been a rapid growth of union culture as a result of which any concrete decision regarding the sector is quite hard to take. As one of the market leaders from the jute sector, the Ghanshyam Sarda Kolkata group wants the situation in the sector to improve at the earliest.
As per a recent initiative from the various leaders of the jute industry in West Bengal, a meeting with the chief minister of the state has been called for in this regard. The state government has been hardly able to do anything for the jute industry and some immediate steps needs to be taken. Production in the various jute mills across the state has stopped and many of the workers have lost their jobs. The entire industry has been affected by the murder at Northbrook jute mill.
