A monorail project of grand
stature is about to come up in the city of Kolkata. The city of Kolkata has
witnessed rapid urbanization over the years. The state government of West
Bengal is also trying to put all efforts in making the city modern and updated.
As millions of passengers travel in and around the city on a regular basis, it
is imperative to have a rapid mode of transportation system. With the initiative of the government of West
Bengal a business summit was recently organized in the country of Singapore.

expressed its interest to be a part of this monorail project. In the business
summit which was organized in the country of Singapore commercial leaders from
different parts of the world participated. A variety of important discussions
formed an important aspect of the summit.
In the summit which was organized
in the country of Singapore, the members of the Ghanshyam
Sarda Kolkata group expressed
their interest to invest in the project. Scomi Engineering, one of the giants from the monorail sector in
Malaysia also participated in the event.
An estimated investment of 2,500
crores has been mobilized for the project. The project will change the entire
scenario of business in the state and the youth will get an opportunity to
work. The Rajarhat Newtown area has been identified as the best possible venue
for the project and it will change the entire look of the place.
