A clean city drive campaign has been set up in the city of Kolkata recently. With the initiative of the Lions Club International Clean City Dream City project, the city is looking forward to a major garbage clean-up drive.
The campaign which has been planned in the city revolves around a variety of plan of action. Various kinds of methods will be put to use to keep the city free from garbage and pollution. As per the campaign which has been launched recently, the entire image of the state will undergo a transformation with such a project.
The Lions Club International has a very strong entity and consists of a number of clubs from across the city. It is one of the most highly renowned socially active clubs the city has.
The project will commence with small initiatives and gradually progress from each ward in the city. Trash bins will be put up at each of the wards where the citizens can throw the waste materials. As one of the pioneer business establishments from the city, the Ghanshyam Sarda Kolkata group always loves to be a part of such events of large magnitude.
The city will certainly breathe fresh air with such projects in place. As per a recent study which has been conducted by the South East Asian Forum for Environment, among the major waste which is produced more than 700 tonnes is recycled. The remaining waste is put at the dumping ground in the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass.
A very active social media campaign has also been launched as a part of the project. Constant updates on Facebook and Twitter have been provided to make this project a success. Already organizations like Pariwar and FACES have become an exclusive part of this project where Ghanshyam Sarda is playing a pivotal role.
